... Reunion Island

Reunion is a 3-million-year-old small volcanic Island. It is a French overseas-department in the Indian Ocean (21°S, 55.4°E), at about 800km from the east coast of Madagascar, and has variety of landscapes: lush green mountains, waterfalls, tropical forests, blue lagoons, inner mountainous amphitheatres, high green and sandy plateaus, canyons and an active volcano. The island offers more than 1000km footpaths for walking and trekking beside a variety of other open-air sports: surfing, paragliding, sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing, canyonning, diving, canoeing, etc. By November, early-summer in Reunion, the weather is nice:
